Common Questions

What's the minimum age to start lessons?
The minimum age is 5 years old.
Do we need to have an instrument at home?
Yes — having a piano, keyboard, trumpet, or guitar at home is strongly recommended. Regular practice between lessons is where most of the progress happens, and that's only possible with an instrument to hand.
How long are lessons?
Standard lessons are 30 minutes, but flexible to add more time if the student is motivated.
How often should I take lessons?
Weekly lessons are recommended for consistent progress. Less frequent lessons can work but make it harder to build momentum and retain what was covered in the previous session.
Do you teach online?
Yes — lessons are available via video call for students anywhere.
Do you offer piano tuning?
Yes — I offer piano tuning across the Austin metro. Get in touch for pricing and availability.
